We recognize that it wasn’t your intention to be in charge of your child’s education a year ago. Many of you have expressed your frustration with how the online learning through the school boards was handled and some felt abandoned by their children’s teachers. So, you’ve decided to consider homeschooling instead, but just for a year or two.

Some of you have multiple children and trying to arrange time for each child to use the one computer you have in your home was a lesson in frustration for you.

We want to help. We want this page to be a place where you can find curriculum ideas and strategies to help you manage this new reality in your life.

When you decide to homeschool you must send a Letter of Intent to homeschool to the school board your child is registered with. You can find more information about that here.

Many parents need to have a clear idea of what their child actually knows to help them determine at what level they should start their children. You can learn more about placement or assessment tests here.

There are a lot of homeschool curriculum companies out there. One way to learn about different homeschool curriculum is to check out the Cathy Duffy website. Cathy Duffy reviews all the homeschool curriculum to make is easier for you to compare the different programs. You will find below that I have linked you directly to her website multiple times.
